On 7 June 2010, it was confirmed that Torchwood would be returning for a 10-part series and would be a co-production between BBC Cymru Wales, BBC Worldwide and US premium entertainment network Starz Entertainment. It premiered in the United States on Starz on 8 July 2011, in Canada on Space on 9 July, and in the UK on 14 July. Writers for the series have been confirmed as Russell T Davies, John Shiban, Doris Egan, Jane Espenson, John Fay and Ryan Scott. The series was initially announced under the banner title Torchwood: The New World, but by January 2011 was changed to Torchwood: Miracle Day.
There will be a web-based story titled Web of Lies to tie into this series.S04E01
